Steindal Glacier Tour
Join us for a tour to the SPECTACULAR Steindal Glacier! A world of waterfalls, avalanches, blue alphine lakes and incredible mountain scenery.
Our guide will lead the way through a valley in the famous Lyngen Alps. Along the way, we will witness true glacial geological features and will explain how the ever changing nature of the arctic can be observed. When we arrive at the glacier you will be able to take a real look at the effects of global warming on the arctic. Along the route are marks that shows for every decade how the glacier has retreated.
PLEASE NOTE: This tour involves a 4h return hike. The route is not particularly hard, but does require moderate fitness and most of all suitable clothes and shoes. The hike is mostly flat with a few uphill parts. The weather can change quickly, so bring warm clothes. The ground is often muddy and wet.
